Listen on Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Amazon, or other streaming platforms. About the song: "Inevitable" was originally written as a love song for a friend's wedding in South Africa. Because of covid, however, instead of being sung live for the first time in front of the couple and their guests - gathered from around the world - it was recorded as a simple, intimate, acoustic version of what would've been shared live. The couple crossed mountains to get where they are today. This song is about how inevitable it was that they were to say "I do".

Lyrics

My first thought was wow, what a laugh

The London cold’s got nothing on you

I found the sun, not looking for one

And it’s glowing in the shape of you.

A wish I never dared to wish,

well it came true on Sloan Avenue.

Now I look back and it’s as certain as fact

that one day we’d say, I do

Cause baby

You are inevitable to me

inevitable

So inevitable

Yea you, are inevitable to me

inevitable you see

inevitable

In just a blink, how eight years have gone

Two continents and maybe more

Yea we’ve made a home, to have and to hold

for whatever rain or storms come through

Cause baby

You are inevitable to me

inevitable

So inevitable

Yea you, are inevitable to me

inevitable you see

inevitable

And oh, now i know

That the universe has its ways

I’ll do my part, and give you my heart

Know God’ll lead the way

‘Cause for better or worse,

For better or worse

starts today

You are inevitable to me

inevitable, so inevitable

Yea you, are inevitable to me

inevitable, so inevitable

Yea you, are inevitable to me

inevitable, so inevitable
